Whitney Harrington established Shore Dance in 2008. She grew up in Palmerston North, training at the Maureen Ax School of Dance in ballet and jazz since the age of 3. In 2006, she moved to Auckland to complete a Bachelor of Dance at AUT University, for which she received the Top Academic Scholar award in 2009. During this time, she also completed her RAD Advanced 2 examination and became a Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher. Whitney has achieved her NZAMD Solo Diploma in both jazz and ballet, and is now a registered NZAMD teacher, living with her partner on the North Shore.
Josie grew up in Howick before moving to Katikati in the Bay of Plenty, training at various local ballet schools from the age of 4. She returned to Auckland in 2007 to study and graduated from AUT with a Bachelor of Dance, and her Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teachers Status in 2010. She has also completed her RAD Advanced 2 examination.
Simone grew up in Hastings, Hawke’s Bay and trained in Royal Academy of Dance ballet at Briar Horrock’s Studio of Dance from the age of three years old. In 2009 she moved to Auckland to study a Bachelor of Dance at AUT University from which she graduated in 2011 along with achieving her Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher’s Status.

From the age of 7, the R.A.D. Graded syllabus consists of classical ballet, free movement, and national character dance.
