Pre-school Dance Classes

The pre-school dance classes at Shore Dance are based on the Royal Academy of Dance Pre-school Curriculum, an internationally renowned curriculum. The classes are separated into 3 yr old classes and 4 yr olds classes to ensure that the content is specific to their level of development.

“The Pre-School Dance curriculum aims to capture and nurture young children’s instinctive joy of movement and freedom of expression. Through participation, children should learn to move and learn through movement in a child-centred learning environment that encourages exploration, independence and social interaction. The Pre-School Dance is designed to enable children to participate in dance activities that are developmentally appropriate, helping to facilitate the learning of dance skills at a later age. Through participation, children can be motivated to continue with dance throughout childhood and beyond, acquiring the skills and attitudes necessary for leading healthy and active lives.”*
